Namgyal Tsemo monastery is founded in early 15th century and stands alone on a hill based upon rocks. Maitrieya Buddha is an indispensable part of the monastery and it measures up to three storey. The monastery consists of assembly hall and temple of paintings and statues of Buddhas. Avalokitesvara and Manjushri statue is also found in the monastery which is one story high.
