Hall of fame

Hall of Fame is envisioned and set up by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who departed from this world. They were defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. It is a museum that grabs a bunch of tourists. The Hall of Fame museum is situated on the Leh-Kargil Road which is around 4 km from Leh market. It symbolizes the immense sacrifices made by our soldiers.

The Hall of Fame museum has two floors and it is divided into different sections. In the upper floor, there is a section named OP Vijay Gallery. It contains weapons used in the Kargil war. Various kinds of apparel and amenities used by the Indian Army in the Siachen region are also displayed. You will discover the pictures of Kargil war on the walls. It is an earth-shattering sight to come across the pictures as it reminds you of the enormous sacrifices made by our brave soldiers. You can watch a documentary on "Operation Vijay” in the projection room. A wall titled ‘The Last Post’ is the letter written by Captain Vijayant Thapar to his parents some days before he martyred.

On the ground floor, there is a section which portrays the history, culture and other aspects of Ladakh. You can purchase t-shirts, coffee mugs, caps, pashmina shawls and more. You can also opt for a photo shoot in Ladakhi attire and fetch the prints after paying a small amount. Your travel experience is shy of one spot and that is Hall of Fame. It will open doors to many more exotic explorations.
